Editorial policy

The rules we follow when we write guides, describe bookmakers and present facts, so you can judge how much to rely on what you read here.

Last reviewed 22 October 2026

Our principles

  1. Usefulness first. Every page should answer a real question clearly. If a page would not help a reader, we do not publish it.
  2. Honesty about risk. We explain that betting carries a real risk of loss and that bookmakers have a built-in advantage. We never promise wins or describe betting as income.
  3. No invented facts. We do not invent results, testimonials, licence numbers, offers, minimum deposits, USSD codes, payment instructions, ratings or search statistics.
  4. Independence. Commissions and advertising do not decide what we write, how we describe a bookmaker, or the order of any list.

How we check bookmaker information

  • We record facts from the bookmaker's own published pages (terms, FAQs, deposit and withdrawal guides) and, for licences, from the regulator where possible.
  • Each fact is shown with its source and the date we checked.
  • A bookmaker's licence is only labelled "Licence verified" when we have recorded evidence: the brand appears in the regulator's public operator register, or the bookmaker's own website names its regulator (with a licence number where given). We link that evidence on the review. Without it we label the licence "Licence not yet verified" and quote what the bookmaker itself says.
  • A payment method is only listed after we have seen it on the bookmaker's own pages.
  • Bookmaker-specific how-to guides are only published once their steps have been checked against the bookmaker's current instructions, and they show the date checked.

Examples and numbers

Worked examples use realistic example odds, not real prices. All calculations separate the gross payout (which includes the stake) from profit.

Laws and taxes

Where an answer depends on current law, regulation or tax, we say so, explain what we have and have not confirmed, and point you to the official source. Our content is general information, not legal, tax or financial advice.

Reviews and updates

Guides show a "last reviewed" date. Bookmaker facts are re-checked regularly, and anything we can no longer confirm is removed or marked as not verified.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, email us via the contact page. We correct errors promptly and update the review date.

Advertisements are labelled "Advertisement". Links that may earn us a commission are marked as affiliate links and carry the appropriate technical labels for search engines. See our affiliate disclosure.
