What a bet slip is

The bet slip (or betting slip) is where your chosen selections collect before you confirm a bet. On mobile it usually opens from a button at the bottom of the screen showing the number of selections.

Step by step

  1. Log in and make sure you have a balance.
  2. Find the match. Use the search or browse by sport and league (for example "Zimbabwe – Premier Soccer League" or "England – Premier League").
  3. Tap the odds of the outcome you want. For a 1X2 bet on Dynamos to win, tap the price under "1". It turns highlighted and is added to your slip. New to markets? See what 1X2 means.
  4. Open the bet slip. Check that the selection, market and odds are what you intended.
  5. Choose single or multiple. With one selection it is a single. With several, most slips default to a multibet (accumulator). Some let you switch to singles or systems.
  6. Enter your stake.
  7. Check the possible payout. The slip shows "possible win" or "potential return". This is your gross payout, including your stake. For a $1 stake at 2.50 it shows $2.50, which is $1.50 profit.
  8. Tap Place bet (or similar). Wait for the confirmation message.
  9. Find the bet under "My bets", "Open bets" or "Bet history". Note the bet ID in case you need it later.

Odds changes

If the odds change while your slip is open, the bookmaker may ask you to accept the new price. Some apps have a setting to accept odds changes automatically. Check what you have chosen, especially for live bets.

Booking codes

Some bookmakers let you book a bet: you save a slip and receive a code. Entering the code later (or at a betting shop) reloads the same selections. Be careful with codes from strangers. See booking code.

Before you tap "Place bet"

  • Is the stake within your budget?
  • Do you understand how this market is settled?
  • Is the payout figure what you expected? Use our payout calculator if unsure.

Summary

Tap the odds to add a selection, check the slip, enter a stake, review the possible payout and confirm. Your bet then appears in your bet history until it is settled.
